QSK23 Cummins Series Diesel Engine
Overview:
High performance for demanding applications.
The QSK23 series is designed to meet current and future competitive pressures and global emissions regulations while delivering high fuel economy and high power density.
For this high power output, its unusual inline-six configuration offers the advantages of a narrower, shorter installation, easier access, and fewer components, which makes it inherently more reliable and will last life expectancy Cycle extended to 20,000 hours before first overhaul.

Feature
The QSK23 uses a Cummins High Pressure Injection (HPI) PT full authority electronic fuel system. The HPI PT fuel system is managed by the G-Drive Governor Control System (GCS) controller, which is used off the engine in the genset control panel. Quantum Control has a specific fuel system board to interface with the HPI-PT fuel system and offers an engine protection package that provides customers with greater flexibility and a cost-effective alternative in terms of control design and the benefits of full authority electronic control.
CTT (Cummins Turbo Technology) HX82 turbo uses exhaust energy with greater efficiency to improve emissions and fuel consumption.
Charge Air Cooling - The QSK23 engine requires an air-to-air heat exchanger or charge air cooler (CAC) to reduce intake manifold temperatures and meet lower emissions requirements
CoolPac Integrated Design - Product offers complete cooling packs and air filter kits for complete power packs. Each component is specially developed and rigorously tested for G-Drive products to ensure high performance, durability and reliability.
Service and Support - G-Drive products are backed by an uncompromising level of technical support and after sales service, delivered through a world-class service network
Emission Standards
To protect public health and protect our planet's natural resources, legislation by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and European Union (EU) regulators over the past decade has mandated that pollutants - such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon Hydrogen Compounds (HC) and Particulate Matter (PM) - are reduced.
During this time, Cummins has been at the forefront of meeting these new standards, becoming:
First manufacturer to bring EPA Tier-2 and Tier-3 products to market - ahead of regulatory deadlines;
The first manufacturer to introduce an EU Stage IIIA compliant generator-driven diesel engine to Europe;
A leader in innovative emissions solutions, focusing primarily on in-cylinder design improvements to eliminate most NOx, HC and PM before they form.
As a result, our diesel engines are not only very clean, but retain all their performance benefits without resorting to exhaust aftertreatment strategies that add cost and complicate end-user maintenance.
G-Drive engine
Mid-range (1.3 - 9L) mid-horsepower engines (16 to 476 hp) offering the widest Tier 3 range, further reducing Tier 2 NOx levels by 38%
Heavy Duty (11 - 15L) 415 to 755 HP Engines Powering Commercial Operations
High horsepower (19 - 78L) 675 to 3700 hp at 1500 and 1800 rpm, designed to meet Tier 2/Stage II emissions requirements for electronics and diagnostics, base engine and turbo, power cylinder and fuel system
