Forecast and analysis of market scale and development trend of China's construction machinery industry in 2021

Construction machinery is an important part of equipment industry. Construction machinery is the general name of mechanical equipment necessary for comprehensive mechanized construction works, including earthwork construction works, pavement construction and maintenance, mobile lifting and loading and unloading operations and various construction works. The main product equipment includes hydraulic excavator, loader, crane, roller, bulldozer, tower crane, etc.

After the in-depth market adjustment from 2011 to 2015, the construction machinery industry has benefited from the state's increased investment in infrastructure construction since 2016. The construction machinery industry has shown a growth trend for four consecutive years. In 2017, the operating revenue of the whole industry again stepped onto the platform of 500 billion yuan, and in 2019, it reached 668.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%, a record high. China Commercial Industry Research Institute predicts that the operating revenue of China's construction machinery will reach 779.22 billion yuan in 2021.

The sales volume of construction machinery achieved high growth from 2016 to 2019. As a landmark product of the prosperity of construction machinery, since the recovery of construction machinery industry in the second half of 2016, the production and sales of excavators in China have maintained a rapid growth. The latest data show that in June 2021, the national excavator output was 27284 units, a year-on-year decrease of 25.7%.
